"Space is the place" — Sun Ra. In a former life I was a scholar and did research on the interconnectedness of music & utopia. Utopia not as a dream that will never exist, but as a place in space that hasn't been activated yet. This research helped me frame my entire body of work as an artist, as I am actively working on activating new possibles for how we perceive & experience our existence through the stories we tell, how we relate to ourselves, each other, our environment, planet, cosmos. I am a firm believer that language & symbols hold a lot more information that we think, and that it is our duty to approach the power of expression and creation with great care and responsibility. They are also very personal and represent my initial body of work as a non-dogmatic spiritual thinker & writer.
