In February 2015, bassist, multi-instrumentalist, writer William Parker started a cross-generational ensemble, holding a weekly open rehearsal at Campos Plaza Community Center in the Lower East Side. There, percussionist Leonid Galaganov & vocalist Anaïs Maviel met, and naturally gravitated to practice centering in the tone-world together with William. Fruitful encounters & sharing grew into this trio, that Leonid took to the recording studio in 2016. Their sessions and performances of the past have manifested sounds symbolic of Atlantis, Shambhala and Nibiru among countless others; of liberation from the relative, balancing with the absolute, and voicing the invisible. The group emphasizes spontaneity, indefiniteness and improvisation based on deep listening, so every new gathering is a different journey to the center of music.
