I hear music everywhere. Every body sings. Every heart beats. We are all instant composers of our life rhythm and melody. I teach music as the art of listening to one's unique voice, and the art of communication ; to hear and be heard. With practical tools such as a wide repertoire from Afrocentric traditions and embodied vocal technique, improvising becomes a tool to self exploration, healing and liberation. I loved my time holding space for children's creative flow, although I now focus my teaching on intermediate to advanced singers.
