DIáSPORA
Chiquita magic + Anaïs Maviel

DIÁSPORA, a nomadic band; sonic witchcraft by Chiquita Magic (voice, synths) & Anaïs Maviel (voice, percussion) and a futuristic carnival. The cross-cultural & intersectional band creates a music shaped by the complex diasporic relations of the American continent - where creolized Indigenous, African, European & Asian cultures form unique and ever-changing musical expressions. Folklores, experimentalism, dance culture, hip hop, electronic music, Afrocentric drumming and vocal improvisation all meet in this collaborative music tinted with feminist tones.
Live recorded in Mexico City, DIáSPORA, eponymus album, is the sound of bodies in motion across space and time. Produced in South, Central and North America, in collaboration with Principa (MX) & Hérnia de Discos (BR), this is a call to gather tribes over the American continents and beyond. To reconcile ancestral and futuristic stories in the liveliness of contemporary languages. Available on all platforms.

live recordings from the 80 days tour over 6 latin american countries, 50 shows
